What Are The Saying ?

Here are just a few of my amazing dancers

"When I was 12 and starting my pre-professional ballet career, I was told I needed to get stronger. I was referred to Dana Barbour and shortly after working with her, my ballet teachers immediately noticed a change in my strength and dance quality.

Dana became not only my Gyrotnoic teacher but an influential mentor. She helped me make major connections in the ballet world, which have brought me to where I am today.

She still mentors me from so far away, whether through advice on auditions, getting me great connections, helping me with decisions in my career, or simply to check in and give me words of encouragement."

Maisee Anderson

National Ballet of Canada

"I started working with Dana at thirteen years old and I still do now! There is nothing like working so closely with someone who has quite literally done it all and understands the process of becoming and being a professional dancer.

Dana is a wonderful mentor because of the wide experience she has had throughout her career, different companies, choreographers, and even performing on Broadway. She truly loves ballet and that passion and love is infectious!"

Dominika Afanasenkov

NYC Ballet

"I quite literally wouldn’t be where I am now without Dana’s knowledge and expertise of the dance industry.

More often than not, that leap from a student to a professional is very large and not much support and guidance is given to aspiring dancers to make that leap. Dana demystified the

process of applying and auditioning for pre-professional ballet training programs, spelling out exactly what audition materials I needed.

She taught me how to construct a resume, format a cover letter, and formally contact ballet schools and companies. Her knowledge and connections in the performance industry are invaluable."
